How can I avoid preeclampsia in my next pregnancy?

If you had preeclampsia with your first pregnancy, unfortunately you have a risk factor of getting it again with your next pregnancy. Currently there is no sure way to prevent you from getting it. However, you can reduce your risk by ensuring that you keep a healthy weight before conceiving again and ensuring that once you are pregnant, you keep your clinic dates so that in case of any changes in your blood pressure the doctor will be able to manage it early.
