What are the interventions used during labour and are they useful?

Vacuum apparatus is the commonly used intervention. It is applied on the baby’s head when the mum or baby is too tired and the mum is fully dilated and the heartbeat is dropping. Everything is synchronised with your contractions. The baby’s head will be a bit stretched but not a dramatic stretch. Within 48 hours everything goes back to normal. After using a vacuum apparatus, monitoring is done a few days after birth to make sure nothing is wrong with the baby.
