Colic’s exact cause is unknown and refers to a baby who often cries about the same time every day, usually in the late afternoon or evening. Colic episodes may last from a few minutes to three hours or more on any given day. Your baby may have a bowel movement or pass gas near the end of the colic episode. Since there is no cure for colic, you can just try a few tips that may help.

Burp your baby after a feed.

Give your baby a warm bath.

Apply a warm compress on baby’s tummy.

Give your baby a tummy massage.

Avoid eating foods that seem to make your baby’s colic episodes worse.

Ensure that you breastfeed your baby on one breast until it feels soft to ensure that your baby gets the heavier hind milk.
