Hi kindly give advice on how to handle umbilical cord cutting incase one delivers at home…..and how to go about a home delivery just incase it happens

If there is no skilled medical personnel nearby and you are unsure on how to cut the cord or you do not have clean and sterile equipment to cut it, Just don’t cut it, wait till the mother delivers the placenta. Let the placenta and the cord drop into a clean towel and keep them near the baby. You can then go to the nearest health centre to have the cord cut there.
It is best to seek medical care immediately you suspect that you are in labour to avoid complications that may occur by delivering without a skilled medical caregiver
