Cephalic position

I went for an ultrasound at 28 weeks. I was experiencing left side abdominal pain. I was told the baby is okay and everything is fine. But they told me something disturbing that my baby is already head down (cephalic position) and my due date is in a couple of weeks. Does it mean that my baby will come early? Also they told me its weight was 1286grammes. Should I be worried about this?

It is normal for some babies to turn to the cephalic position from around 27 weeks and this is actually good because it means that baby is already in a position for birth.  This does not mean that baby will come early but being your first baby you will most likely get to your due date. The weight is okay for the age of pregnancy; your baby will add the most weight in the last 10 weeks of pregnancy. Continue to eat a balanced diet rich of iron from meats and green leafy vegetables. Wishing you the best as you enjoy your last trimester.
