Hello, I really love your brand. I need your advice. My husband and I have been trying to make a baby for two months now but I keep on receiving my periods. I stopped using Family planning pills in July. I just used them that month only and I used depo in the month of February which went for three months. I took a break and in July I changed to 21days pill. I changed because depo was reacting with my hormones. So why am I not conceiving? Can hormonal imbalance cause miscarriage? Please help me now am waiting. Thanks a lot.

Trying to conceive is an exciting yet anxious time and for most women. It takes several tries before one is successful. After using birth control especially depo, sometimes the body takes a few months to get back to its regular form and most doctors advise couples to continue trying for at least 6-8 months before doing intrusive tests as sometimes it can take this long. It is encouraging that you are getting a regular flow. Do continue trying by having sex around your ovulation time, try and relax and avoid stress, boost your fertility by eating a balanced diet and you could talk to your doctor about starting a folic acid supplement. However, if you are worried that you have a hormonal imbalance, please see your doctor who will run test to confirm this and give you the appropriate treatment for the same.
