What types of food can my baby can eat because he dislikes mashed potatoes, bananas, and malenge. He likes Ugali, milk, porridge, Weetabix and fish. Which other foods can you recommend to keep my child healthy with the kinds of fruits a part from pawpaw, which he likes?

Following your baby’s cues on what they seem to enjoy is a good place to start because children do have preferences too. This is known as the ‘baby-led’ weaning approach, which is a good way of helping him learn the connection between taste, appearance and texture. Try and mix the foods that he likes with new ones. Ensure that you give a wide variety of vegetables and fruits eg grated apple, avocado, watermelon, mango etc Also include a variety of vegetables including green leafy vegetables and others such as courgetes, broccoli, and eggplant. In terms of starch, rice, spaghetti and mashed potatoes are some choices you can give.
