Hi Baby Banda. I am due soon. This is my first baby and I am nervous. I plan to give birth naturally. I know labour pains can be intense but I have also heard that pushing is a task. I would like some clarification on this. Is pushing too much work because I am scared? I would also like to know if someone can have a narrow pelvis that prevents natural birth. Your feedback will be appreciated.

Labour and birth is a natural and healthy process and your inner wisdom always guides you through the birth. Gain and build your confidence to know that you can do it by attending childbirth education classes or by reading material that talks about the process. Information equips you to be able to accept and own the process. Every woman is able to deliver a baby naturally despite their size and as long as you get proper medical, emotional and physical support you can birth your baby. Start looking at the pain of labour as a “good” pain, one that brings with it great reward.
