Rotarix is a live vaccine given in 2 doses at around 6 weeks and  4 months of age . Rotateq is given in 3 doses at 6 weeks, 4 months and 6 months. Both are oral and protect your baby against severe dehydrating rotavirus gastroenteritis that most commonly occurs between 3 and 35 months of age. You have to choose one or the other as they are not interchangeable.
