Hi, I am in my 9th month of my pregnancy. My umbilical cord is swollen and it’s painful. Is there anything to worry about?

This is caused by the pressure from your expanded belly. It is normal to feel some discomfort as the baby grows rapidly in the last weeks. However, if the area becomes too painful to bear accompanied by fever, please do see your doctor immediately.
