What happens at 6 months pregnancy?
This is a period of rapid growth. Your baby can now start getting hiccups. They may be able to suck on his finger and may have patterns of sleep and activity. If you are having a girl, she will start developing her eggs in the ovaries now. The bones may start becoming firm and solid though the lungs are not yet well developed. Your baby is around 30 centimetres long and weighs around 600grams on average.
You will gain weight more rapidly and your belly looks visibly larger. You may feel hot and sweaty due to the increased blood supply. You may start getting shortness of breath as your baby presses against your ribcage. Do continue to do mild exercise like walking, maintain correct posture and eat well balanced diet to meet your body’s increased needs.
