Am so worried of leaving my 4-month-old baby with anyone else because I feel they can’t take care of her like I do and I also keep on checking her breathing when she sleeps. Am always worried over nothing. Does this happen to other new moms?
It is normal for mums to feel very protective over their little one and unwilling to leave your baby with someone else. However, it is important for your little one to start forming bonds with other caregivers so that as you leave to do your normal work schedules, your baby will be comfortable. To ease your mind, train the caregiver on how you would like them to care for your baby, take them to an infant first aid class and leave clear and precise instructions on care. Do call in during the day to see how the baby is progressing.
