How is one able to know whether the unborn baby will have complications like the umbilical cord being in wrong position (like being tied around the neck) among others?

A diagnosis of a cord wrapped around the baby’s neck is usually made at the delivery of a healthy baby. An ultrasound may be used to detect this and thus the doctor may watch the pregnancy closely during the last months of the pregnancy. Other signs may include decreases in fetal movements.
